FAQs | Corporate Citizenship Conference

Below are some frequently asked questions about the International Corporate Citizenship Conference. If you don't see the answer you need, please feel free to contact us at ccc@bc.edu.

Where will the 2023 conference take place?

The Conference is being held at the Peabody Memphis, in Memphis, Tennessee, from April 28-30, 2024. Memphis is the headquarters city of our convening sponsor, FedEx.

Where/how do I book a room at the Conference hotel?

Don't forget to reserve your room at the Hilton Minneapolis before the room block sells out. A block of rooms has been reserved at special rates starting at $229/night. Each attendee must make their own hotel room reservation. To make your hotel reservations at Hilton Minneapolis, please click here. This link will take you to a reservation page that will automatically fill in our group code and ensure you receive the group rate, starting at $229 per night. Please note, the special room rate will be available until April 7, 2023 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Reservations received after April 7, 2023 will be accepted at the hotel's prevailing rate.

How do I register for the 2023 conference?

Visit the Registration Page to complete your registration. Click on the yellow button that says "Register Now." If you are already logged into your BCCCC account, the screen will refresh, and you'll need to click the same yellow button a second time. If you are not already logged in, you'll be prompted to enter your email and password. If you don't yet have a BCCCC account or if you forget your password, use the link on this login screen that says "set password;" you can either create a new account or reset your existing one.

Once you're logged in, you'll arrive at a form submission page. Complete this form and click "submit." Please note: if your company is a conference sponsor, you should enter your "promo code" here in order to receive your registration discount. If you don't know this code, contact registration@bc.edu.

After clicking "submit," you'll arrive at a check-out page where you can view the total cost of your registration before checking out. You can also choose to edit or cancel your registration. Select to pay by credit card or request an invoice. Note that invoices usually arrive within one week and payment must be received before the event begins.

Who should attend the 2023 conference?

Anyone working on the corporate citizenship or sustainability activities inside a corporation can attend the International Corporate Citizenship Conference. Our attendee mix includes entry-level to senior professionals, representing more than 400 corporations, traveling from more than two dozen countries.

Please note that registration is open exclusively to corporate citizenship practitioners inside of companies. nonprofit professionals, consultants, media, students, and academics are not typically a part of our participant mix unless they are a content partner. If you have questions about your eligibility to attend the conference, please email registration@bc.edu.

You can get a sense of past and current conference attendees by visiting the Attendees page.

What does it cost to attend the conference?

Rates vary depending on a variety of factors including:

  • Your company's BCCCC membership status (are you a non-member, a member, or a new member, joined since last April?) ,
  • When you register (early-bird rates are temporarily available),
  • How many attendees are coming from your company (group discounts may apply).

Here's an overview of 2023 Conference pricing:

How are registration fees processed? (Can you invoice us?)

Conference registration fees can be paid via credit card or check. (Yes, we can supply you with an invoice if necessary. Simply select the invoice option on the registration page; you will receive your invoice within one week of registering.) Please be advised, all registration payments must be received prior to the event.

What is your policy on cancellation, transfers, or refunds?

Any cancellation requests need to be emailed to registration@bc.edu. Confirmed conference registrants cancelling before 01/31/2023 will receive a full refund of registration fees paid. Any cancellations between 02/01/2023 and before 02/28/2023 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid. Confirmed registrants who cancel on or after 03/01/2023, or fail to attend, will be charged 100% of the registration fee and are not entitled to a refund. Conference registrations are transferable to other associates within your organization or can be transferred toward a Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship certificate course(s). You must register for that course(s) by May 31, 2023. There is a $100 fee for transfers after 03/01/2023.

If on or after 03/01/2023, BCCCC is required due to pandemic restrictions (or other forces beyond our control) to change the delivery format of the event to a live virtual event there will be no refund of registration fees paid.

What is the dress code for the Conference?

Conference attendees typically dress in business casual attire. The average temperature in Minneapolis, in April, runs between 37 F and 55 F degrees. Please be aware that temperatures in hotel meeting rooms can vary, so we recommend dressing in layers if possible.

Can you accommodate my dietary restrictions at the event?

All Conference meals are designed with a variety of dietary restrictions and food allergies in mind, including vegan and gluten-free options. If you have a special circumstance or specific concerns about Conference meals, please feel free to email our team at registration@bc.edu. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

What are the COVID safety protocols?

The Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship is monitoring CDC guidelines to ensure the health and wellbeing of our Conference participants. All COVID restrictions/requirements are subject to change based on those guidelines, as well as any federal, state, or local guidelines and/or mandates and Boston College policies.

At the time of their registration, all Conference registrants must agree to abide by any federal, state, or local guidelines and/or mandates and Boston College policies pertaining to the wearing of masks in any indoor and/or outdoor spaces. We will alert attendees of any such guidelines that may be administered as the event nears.

How can I connect with other Conference attendees?

Great question! As the event nears, registrants will be given access to a conference app, which allows you to search and message other attendees, among other tools.

If you're active on social media, you can make the most of Conference networking by connecting with fellow attendees on Twitter and LinkedIn, using the Conference hashtag #BCConf23. Attendees may also wish to join the Conference's official LinkedIn Group
